Acetylenic

In organic chemistry, the term acetylenic designates[1]

  • A doubly unsaturated position (sp-hybridized) on a molecular framework, for instance in an alkyne such as acetylene;
  • An ethynyl fragment, HCC–, or substituted homologue.
