Cold Storage is an upcoming comedy horror film, directed by Jonny Campbell, and written and produced by David Koepp. It features an ensemble cast, starring Joe Keery, Georgina Campbell, and Liam Neeson. Based on Koepp's 2019 novel, the story follows the attempts at containing a parasitic fungus that leaks out of an abandoned military base.[2][3][4]
Cold Storage is scheduled to be released in the United States on February 6, 2026.
Premise
[edit]"The film follows Teacake and Naomi, two employees at a self-storage facility built atop a former military base, whose night shift transforms into a nightmare when a government-sealed parasitic fungus escapes from the underground levels. As temperatures rise, the microorganism unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting mayhem on anything in its path. The duo must join forces with a weathered bioterror operative to contain the threat before it triggers humanity’s extinction."[5]

Production
[edit]In May 2022, it was announced that Liam Neeson and Joe Keery will star in the film and that StudioCanal would fully finance the film.[7] In October 2022, it was announced that Georgina Campbell joined the cast.[6] In March 2023, it was announced that Sosie Bacon was added to the cast and that filming began in Italy and Morocco.[8] In April 2025, Samuel Goldwyn Films acquired North American rights to the film.[5]
