The 2Way Network is an interactive media platform founded by American journalist Mark Halperin. The platform dedicated to fostering civil, participatory, and balanced conversations on politics, culture, and current events. The network distinguishes itself by prioritizing real-time audience engagement and diverse viewpoints.[1][2]

Overview

[edit]

2Way operates as a live video platform hosted on Zoom and simultaneously streamed on other platforms such as YouTube and X. The core of its approach is a "two-way" exchange, where viewers are encouraged to interact directly with hosts, guests, and each other, asking questions and contributing to the discussion in real time. The platform is designed to be uncensored and inclusive, welcoming a wide range of perspectives in a civil environment. The network's mission is rooted in Halperin's desire to move beyond the "one-way" nature of traditional media, instead offering a forum where all participants can engage in real-time and constructive conversation.[1][2]

History and Growth

[edit]

2Way was launched by Mark Halperin in 2020, initially as a YouTube-based project designed to create a more civil and interactive space for political discussion. Halperin, a prominent political journalist and author, founded the network following his departure from mainstream media in 2017. The platform quickly gained attention for its bipartisan guest roster and welcoming atmosphere.[1] Since its inception, 2Way has experienced notable growth and expansion. In late 2024, the network raised a $4 million seed round, bringing in new talent and expanding its content and distribution channels. In early 2025, the platform added a number of prominent hosts to its roster and hired experienced media executives such as Alex Chitty to lead strategy and operations. 2Way has also broadened its programming beyond politics, with plans to enter new verticals and partner with additional creators and organizations. The network’s interactive format and commitment to civility have attracted a following among political insiders and the general public, positioning it as a rising star in the alternative media landscape.
