Amangarh has an industrial history, but it is now focusing more on maintaining a balance between residential settlements and industrial developments. The key industrial sites it had, and some still operating, included Adamjee Paper Mill, Colony Sarhad Textile Mills Ltd., Nowshera Pipe Industries[1], and the Ferozsons Laboratories Limited. These industries served both local and broader market requirements.
With the passage of time, due to population growth, community reactions and policies adjustments, some investors relocated their interests. Among the above mentioned four industrial sites, only Nowshera Pipe Industries and Ferozsons Laboratories Limited manage to operate till now, while some new industries like Hascol Petroleum Limited have also established operation in the area which is affecting Amangarh's environment[2]. Today, some major industrial sites like Adamjee Paper and Textile Mill are being repurposed for residential development. [3]
