Amy Hebert is an American business executive and chemical engineer who is the chief executive officer (CEO) and Chair of the Board of Arcadia eFuels.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Hebert attended Georgia Institue of Technology earning a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.[1][2]
Career
[edit]Hebert spent nearly 20 years with Albemarle Corporation, eventually becoming their Global Vice President. She later served as Vice President for Celanese Corporation's European division before becoming Deputy CEO and Chief Commerical Officer of Haldor Topsoe A/S.[2]
In 2021, Hebert left Haldor Topsoe to found Arcadia eFuels, which will begin production of a carbon neutral synthetic kerosene sustainable aviation fuel when their first manufacturing plant in Vordingborg, Denmark becomes operational in early 2028.[1][2][3] Additional plants in Teesside, United Kingdom and near Corpus Christi, Texas will follow.[4][5]
Hebert serves as co-chair of Project SkyPower, a coalition of CEOs from the aviation and aviation fuels industries collaborating to meet the European Union's Fit for 55 goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 in pursuit of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Hebert has one daughter and three sons. She enjoys yoga and paddleboarding.[1]
Hebert currently lives in Austin, Texas.[1]
