Bijauli[1][2][3] (Hindi: बिजौली) is a large village[4][5] in Bharthana tehsil of Etawah district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It falls under Mahewa Block[4] and is administered through a Gram Panchayat system.
Geography
[edit]Bijauli is located at 26.68325°N latitude and 79.15203°E[6] longitude in the fertile plains of the Ganga–Yamuna Doab region. The village covers an area of approximately 342.69 hectares and is primarily surrounded by agricultural land.
Demographics
[edit]According to the 2011 Census of India[7], Bijauli had a population of 3,606 people living in around 644 households. Of the total population, 1,907 were males and 1,699 were females. Children aged 0–6 years numbered approximately 592. A significant proportion of residents belong to Scheduled Castes, while there is negligible Scheduled Tribe population recorded.
Economy
[edit]The economy of the village is predominantly agriculture-based. Major crops include wheat[8], paddy, mustard, and seasonal vegetables. Animal husbandry also contributes to the local livelihood.
Administration
[edit]Bijauli[1] is governed by a Gram Panchayat. It is part of the Mahewa Block[4] in Bharthana Assembly constituency and the Etawah Lok Sabha constituency.
Transport
[edit]The village is connected by rural roads to nearby towns[3]. The nearest railway station is Bharthana Railway Station, located about 10–15 km away.
