Mass State Lottery is a 2024 American crime–horror comedy film written and directed by Jay Karales (LowRes Wünderbred) and produced by Forgotten Genres. It stars Karales, Hans Lam Barboza, Nicholas Goroff, Yuna Kim, Sheila Ball, Austin Wright, and Buddy Duress in his final role.[1][2]
Plot
[edit]Private investigator Richard Rathke (Karales) manipulates a grieving mother into hiring him, uncovering disappearances and murders tied to local folklore.[1][2]

Passing of Buddy Duress
[edit]Buddy Duress, who played Ivan Amari, died in November 2023 at age 38. His death was confirmed in February 2024 by his brother, Christopher Stathis. Mass State Lottery was his final film.[4]
