Niharika began her career as a YouTuber in the late 2010s,[6] where she gained much popularity through her comedic videos, while her breakthrough came with the "Types" series, where she humorously depicted different personality traits and scenarios.[7] Her popularity gained her attention to be selected consecutively twice as one of the global ambassadors of Creators for Change, an initiative by YouTube to engage the content creators to create awareness on relevant social issues.[8] Apart from YouTube, she is also an active creator on Instagram, making her gain 1 Million followers by the end of 2020.[9]

By 2021, she had become one of India’s most followed digital creators, collaborating with Bollywood actors, international brands and Youtube channels like Jordindian.[10] The same year, she made her guest appearance in Nextflix Youtube show, Behensplaining.[11] In 2022, she was invited for the WIBA – World Influencer Blogger Awards, representing India,[12] and also won the Youth Icon - Entertainer of the Year Award.[13] She was featured in Forbes India's 30 Under 30 list in 2022.[14] Niharika holds the pride of bringing actors Mahesh Babu and Yash into the digital platforms by making them perform in her Instagram Reels and Youtube Shorts, which went viral, garnering her a cumulative total of around 398 Million views.[15]

Again in 2023, she attended the 2023 Cannes Film Festival[16] to present the creations of fashion stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania and several other red carpet events.[17] Niharika made her Hollywood debut through an animated cartoon character made on her in the 7th season of American sitcom series Big Mouth (2023).[18] Again for the third time, she attended 77th Cannes Film Festival in May 2024,[19] where she announced her film Tamil debut in the film titled Idhayam Murali (2025) starring Atharvaa, Kayadu Lohar, Preity Mukhundhan and others.[20] On 4 July 2024, coinciding her birthday, a renowned production house in Telugu Film Industry, Geetha Arts wished and welcomed her entry into the Tollywood cinema.[21]

In early-2025, it was reported that Niharika has signed a three-film deal with Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films to play the lead actress,[1] out of which, the first film titled, Perusu (2025), an official remake of Sinhalese-film Tentigo (2023) was released theatrically in 2025.[22]
