Draft:Pigeon Simulator

  • Comment: The only source in the article at present which seems to contribute towards notability is the one from Rock Paper Shotgun. Everything else comes from lower quality sources (if not unreliable, like XboxEra per WP:VG/S), and those which can't establish notability (e.g. GameRant and ScreenRant per WP:VALNET). Would like to see a Reception section with opinions from multiple critics on the game to establish notability. λ NegativeMP1 06:37, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Pigeon Simulator is a 2025 simulation video game video game developed by Bossa Studios and TinyBuild.

Development

[edit]

The game was first announced by Bossa Studios in 2019.[6] Its initial trailer presented it as a lighthearted animal simulator in which players took the role of a mischievous pigeon.[7] No release date was revealed yet.[8]

The game was later cancelled by Bossa Studios. In 2021, TinyBuild announced that its studio HakJak had taken over development.[9] The game was originally supposed to be released in 2024.[10] After HakJak closed in 2023, it was announced that the release of Pigeon Simulator was "uncertain". In November 2025, Xbox announced that the game would be released on Xbox Game Pass, confirming that it had not been cancelled.[9]

Gameplay

[edit]

The game is a simulation game with both cooperative and solo gameplay. Players take the role of a pigeon who is an agent in the Paranormal Examination and Kontainment unit, a secret agency that protects New Squawk City from paranormal dangers and everyday problems.[11]

Release

[edit]

The game was released on November 11, 2025.[11] Jesse Norris from XboxEra wrote that the cooperative mode was enjoyable but the solo gameplay was a waste of time.[12]
