Kajith Sriskantharasa, known professionally as Ratty Adhiththan, is a Tamil rapper and lyricist from Jaffna, Sri Lanka.^[1] He began his musical journey in 2015 with the release of his debut song, "Ooruku Pudhusu," which garnered attention for its lyrical depth.^[1][2] His work often integrates elements of Tamil history and culture, resonating with a wide audience.^[3] Among Ratty Adhiththan’s releases, “Naan Kudikka Poren” stands out as his most commercially successful track, amassing over 100 million views on YouTube by 19 October 2025.^[4]

Ratty Adhiththan moved to Malaysia in 2007 to pursue higher education, during which he was he was introduced to the local Tamil hip hop scene and began performing at cultural programs.^[1][5] Building on this foundation, he relocated to Europe in 2013, where he started taking rap more seriously, writing original lyrics and participating in Tamil rap competitions.^[1] He would go on to release his professional debut single, “Yaathri,” with Mc Sai on 29 April 2018, which marked the beginning of his recording career under the "Oru Nation" record label and entry into the Tamil independent music scene.^[6]

In 2019, Ratty Adhiththan gained significant popularity with the release of "Naan Kudikka Poren," a collaboration with a fellow record label artist Sahi Siva.^[7][8] The song quickly went viral, amassing millions of views and establishing Ratty's presence. The track's success led to further collaborations and projects, including his 2022 album "Padaiyon," which showcased his versatility and collaborative nature as an artist.^[9]

In 2024, Ratty released a series of singles, including tracks like “Echcharikkai” and “Ohh Girl”^[10] which received attention for their production quality and contributed to his growing international appeal amongst the Tamil diaspora.^[11][12] In 2025, Ratty Adhiththan achieved a career milestone with his Kollywood debut with “Ace Anthem” for the film Ace, composed by Justin Prabhakaran.^[13] This project under 7Cs Entertainment banner, helped Ratty reach a broader audience. Following this success, he released “Kosty” on 21 October 2025 to coincide with Diwali.^[14] The collaboration with King Mohan for “Kosty,” came as a surprise, and played a notable role in drawing attention from fans and critics even before its release.^[15][16]

His music is known for its fusion of traditional Tamil sounds with contemporary hip hop elements, creating a unique listening experience. His ability to blend cultural references with modern beats has earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim within the Tamil independent music community.
