Ronit Karki (born 23 November 2007) is an American tennis player.[1]
Early life
[edit]Karki was born in New Jersey to Trilok Karki and Kanhan Joshi, Indian immigrants who moved to the United States from Mumbai. His older sister, Naomi, is also a tennis player.[2][3] He lived in New Jersey prior to moving to Florida, and became based in Orlando.[4]
Career
[edit]He was runner-up in the U16 singles at the USTA 2023 National Clay Court Championships.[5] In December 2023, he was runner-up at the Orange Bowl 16s in Florida.[6]
He qualified for the boys singles at the 2025 French Open where he recorded a win over Indian player Manas Dhamne in the first round.[7] After coming through qualifying, he recorded a win over Alan Ważny to reach the semi-finals at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships where he beat Bulgarian Alexander Vasilev. In the final he faced another Bulgarian, Ivan Ivanov.[3][8][9]
