Sociology Compass is an international peer-reviewed academic journal published monthly by Wiley-Blackwell in an online-only format. Launched in 2007 as part of the Wiley-Blackwell Compass series, it initially focused on commissioned review articles that synthesized key trends and debates across sociological subfields, including social theory, culture, inequality, social movements, gender studies, criminology, and social psychology.

In November 2021, the journal expanded to include original research submissions alongside its review program, aiming to showcase empirical and theoretical work using both qualitative and quantitative methods[1]. As a generalist journal, it is structured around thematic sections such as Crime & Deviance, Education, Gender, Politics, and Urban Sociology, among others.

The journal is abstracted and indexed in databases such as Web of Science. In 2024, It holds an impact factor of 2.1, ranking in the top quartile of sociology journals.[2]
