Swekshya Giri

Swekshya Giri (born 7 February 2001) is a Nepali public health professional registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC). She holds a Bachelor of Public Health degree and has professional experience in community-based public health and early childhood development programs in Nepal.

Early life and education

Swekshya Giri was born in Sainamaina, Nepal. She completed her secondary education at Sungabha Public Secondary School in 2015 and her higher secondary education at Kanti Secondary School in 2019.

Giri earned a Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) degree from Purbanchal University in 2024, graduating with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.29.

Career

Giri began her professional career as a Program Assistant at Seto Gurans Child Development Service in Rupandehi, Nepal, in April 2024. In this role, she supported the implementation of early childhood development programs and assisted with coordination among field staff and local stakeholders. Her responsibilities included record keeping, reporting, and monitoring of program activities.

Her work focused on community-based public health interventions aimed at improving child development and health outcomes.

Public health advocacy

In 2024, Giri served as a tuberculosis (TB) advocate with the National Youth Movement Against TB, acting as a Sanjeevani College Coordinator in Pokhara, Nepal. During this period, she participated in public health awareness activities, including educating school children about tuberculosis prevention and control.
