Development

[edit]

In March 2024, a film centered on the DC Comics team the Teen Titans was revealed to be in development at DC Studios for their franchise the DC Universe (DCU), with Ana Nogueira writing the screenplay. Nogueira previously wrote the film Supergirl (2026) for the studio.[1][2] In February 2025, DC Studios co-chairmen and co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran confirmed that Nogueira was working on a Teen Titans script and said she was passionate about the property. Gunn said the film was in "very early stages".[3][4][5] Nogueira was hired to write a Wonder Woman film for the DCU by that July.[6][7] Journalist Jeff Sneider reported that Nogueira had handed in a draft of the Teen Titans script and owed DC Studios a revised version,[8] but Gunn said he had not seen the script and it was de-prioritized when he asked Nogueira to work on the Wonder Woman film instead.[5][7]
