HYT is a watchmaking company based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It is the only watchmaking company to display time with fluids.[1]
HYT was launched in 2012 when it introduced its first hybrid timepiece, the H1, during BaselWorld. They won three awards the same year:
- Best Innovative Watch 2012[2] – Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève;
- Best concept watch of the year – SIAR in Mexico;[citation needed]
- Best concept watch of the year – Watch World Award[3] in India.
HYT filed for bankruptcy in March 2021.[4] Kairos Technology Switzerland SA purchased HYT's assets later that year.[5]
HYT Watches has announced the promotion of Vahe Vartzbed to CEO, effective July 1, 2024. He joined HYT in August 2023 as General Manager and has since been involved in shaping the brand’s strategic direction. His appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Neuchâtel-based company, known for its innovative blend of traditional watchmaking and fluid technology.
