Abaoji, the founding emperor of the Liao dynasty, further settled the area with captured families.[4]

In 1629, as part of the first campaign of the Qing's conquest of Ming, Luanzhou was captured by Hong Taiji's forces.[5]

During the 1911 Revolution, the Luanzhou Mutiny [zh] took place in the city.[1][2]
