Strategy X (ス卜ラテジーX) is a vertically scrolling shooter released as an arcade video game by Konami in 1981. It was licensed to Stern Electronics for US distribution. A version for the Atari 2600 was published by Konami in-house in 1983.[2] The player controls a tank through various stages, defeating enemies and picking up fuel.
An emulated version of the original arcade game was included as part of Game Room for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on May 26, 2010. It was also included as part of the Arcade Archives series for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on June 19, 2025.[3]
Reception
[edit]In a retrospective look, AllGame said, "Strategy X's graphics are colorful, but not always helpful in terms of figuring out what's going on".[4]
