I can’t fix this because I don’t understand it: “Also they can curse men such that the cattle of the sun god Hyperion would have done if they were harmed by any man, as in Homer's Odyssey.”

They can curse men like a cow can? I think “such that……would have done.” Is confusing. They can curse in anyway they see fit, just like the cattle can, or they can curse in only the ways the cattle can?
