2K7, people uses this notation a lot lately, doesn't it mean 2.7K or 2700? Not 2007?
Shouldn't we correct the usage of this notation?
2M7 means 2700000, not 2000007! Imagine wrong usage of this notation in a nuclear power plant! This notation has been used a long time in Electronics.
- It's not the job of wikipedia to correct common usage. As I was gearing up on the issue most of the references were DST issue but when i checked what the wider world was calling it it was clearly Y2K7. It's a matter of interpritation to make Y2K7 2700 - you are assuming some rules. There are various rules - for example Firefox is now 1.5.0.10 which is higher than 1.5.0.9.--Smkolins 11:27, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Will Y2K7 occur in Australia? 124.180.18.141 23:35, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
