Makes a link to PubMed abstracts of biomedical journals, from a PMID identifier. The identifier is rendered using much of the same code that renders |pmid=
in Citation Style 1 and Citation Style 2 templates except that this template can be used to render multiple PMID identifiers.
Usage
[edit]This template accepts these parameters:
|idn=
– a PMID identifier; the|idn=
parameter name is not required but is recommended for clarity when the template has multiple identifiers|link=
– accepts a single valueno
; for use when the 'PMID' prefix in the rendering should not be linked|plainlink=
– accepts a single valueyes
; suppresses the 'PMID' prefix in the rendering|leadout=
– defines the conjunction between the last two identifiers in the rendered list; defaults to,
The basic form is:
To unlink the prefix:
{{pmid|id=12345678|link=no}}

To suppress the prefix:
{{pmid|id=12345678|plainlink=yes}}
→ 12345678
Multiple PMID identifiers:

For instructions on how to use Wikipedia to automatically expand a PMID into a full reference complete with article title, author(s), date, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, etc., please see User:Citation bot/use. Alternatively, Diberri's Wikipedia template filling tool can generate a fully populated {{cite journal}} markup using the PMID article number. https://citation-template-filling.toolforge.org/cgi-bin/index.cgi
Tracking categories
[edit]- Category:Pages with PMID errors – error category for
