Frozen 3 is an upcoming animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It is the third installment in the Frozen franchise, following Frozen (2013) and Frozen II (2019). The film continues the story of sisters Elsa and Anna, along with their friends Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, as they embark on new adventures in the enchanted world of Arendelle.[1][2]
Production
[edit]The development of Frozen 3 was officially announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger during a shareholder meeting in February 2023.[3] The announcement followed the immense commercial success of the previous films, which have collectively grossed over $2.7 billion worldwide.[4]
Jennifer Lee, who co-directed and co-wrote the first two films, is expected to return as a key creative force, though specific details about the creative team have not been fully disclosed.[5] Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are also anticipated to reprise their roles as Anna and Elsa. [6][7]
Release
[edit]Disney has unveiled that the film would be released on November 24, 2027.[8][9]
