[edit]About me
[edit]

I am the Scholarly Communication Librarian at Butler University. I was previously the Senior Wikipedian at the United States National Agricultural Library for six years, and have been a Wikipedian nine years.
Other ways you may know me: as a co-organizer of the Wikimedians of Indiana User Group, part of the development team for the WMF-funded View it! tool (winner of the newcomer "Coolest Tool" in 2024), one of the co-organizers for WikiConference North America. (I have been active in 2024 and 2025), or as the chair of the Wikimedia Working Group at the Digital Public Library of America.
I am a GLAM and open knowledge advocate (including open access and open publishing). I am involved with editing efforts at Indiana University Indianapolis, Montana State University, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I support GLAM spaces through training, support, and advising. Please feel free to message me if you ever need help - I spend time talking about open access and knowledge, offering Wikipedia editing training, and helping institutions get active on Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia.
On Wikipedia my interests are expansive, my edits span several topics, but usually revolve around books, art, STEM, etc. In particular, I work to expand coverage on women in STEM, BIPOC folks in STEM and all fields, and covering LGBTQ+ people, history, and culture in the city I live in.
About my work/conflict of interest
[edit]I support the mission of multiple GLAM institutions by working to make their holdings more accessible to the public by making them available to Wikipedia for use in creating and editing articles. When I edit Wikipedia as part of my duties, I strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. I will always work in the best interest of Wikipedia, because that aligns with the missions I am dedicated to and I will modify my editing behavior based on any issues brought to my attention by other editors.
