ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:47, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - Requesting help with publish of article

[edit]

Hello, I created an article a few months back, and I'm wondering if you could help me review it, and provide me suggestions as to how to publish it. I saw that you have done similar edits to the article "Akash Vukoti", so since this is relating to the same topic, requesting your kind help. Thanks so much in advance. [edit]

Stop icon Your recent editing history at Jana Nayagan shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please stop editing the page and use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.

If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page. @Siera9 Hi. You seem to know a lot about Wikipedia rules for a one month account without talk page. Please disclose your previous accounts, if you have any. -- Ab207 (talk) 13:19, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I have read the introductions of wikipedia while joined. I also learned Twinkle has this options. Don't have any other Wikipedia accounts as you said. Siera9 (talk) 13:25, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Siera9 Thank you for the clarification. -- Ab207 (talk) 13:26, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable source?

[edit]

I think filmibeat is not a reliable source from search results. But is wikipedia saying about so? Siera9 (talk) 13:37, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Siera9: Yes, filmibeat is not a reliable source. A reliable source should ideally have an editorial oversight, to fact check their content. Filmibeat does not have any such mechanism, it is more of WP:BLOG. -- Ab207 (talk) 13:41, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Siera9 (talk) 13:54, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL and missing title error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 07:52, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus?

[edit]

Consensus reached? Anil Ravipudi said only some scenes were similar and story have been significantly changed. Bikram96 (talk) 17:53, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Bikram96 Your assertion that the film is "loosely inspired" falls under Wikipedia:original research. Multiple sources provided on the talk page clearly call it a "remake." Ab207 (talk) 17:55, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
As your wish do anything. Not my assertion, a source said. [1] Bikram96 (talk) 17:58, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Bikram96 It's not like my wish. The source you gave is from Jan 3, we have later sources which gave more clarity. -- Ab207 (talk) 18:39, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Other than Wikipedia, what do you guys do?

[edit]

Just asking since you're back, and I glad you are. Other than scrolling social media, what should I do? I have this deep passion to write [side hussle], I just don't want to make any stories public. DareshMohan (talk) 02:16, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@DareshMohan Hey! Good to see your interest in writing, perhaps start writing blogs about the topics you love in medium.com/
There must be some Tamil centric websites where you can contribute anonymously. Eg. In Telugu, there is chaibisket.com
Hope this helps, feel free to contact me whenever you want! Cheers -- Ab207 (talk) 13:31, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the advice, I think I will focus on my studies and career first and down the line, create some content only if I succeed in life. DareshMohan (talk) 06:13, 19 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@DareshMohan No need to be too harsh on yourself :) I'm sure you are going to do well in career.
I was very active on Wikipedia during COVID days and I was between jobs. Now I'm not able to dedicate the same time as I did before but I miss those times. -- Ab207 (talk) 09:14, 19 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see. I'm not allowed to edit since I have no job and editing in front of others is something I'm not willing to do. Hope I get a job soon. I think I take things too personally. DareshMohan (talk) 05:32, 23 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@DareshMohan I can understand. It's just a phase. I'm here if you need to any help. You can also email me if you wanna talk about things privately. -- Ab207 (talk) 05:56, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I just texted in the spur of the moment, but what I meant to say is that I just need to apply. I use alt+tab to hide editing, but it sometimes doesn't switch back and gives an alert message "Your changes won't be saved". Me editing gives the false impression that I'm over studying simply because I don't want to say I'm editing. I've asked several ppl for alternate hobby and even I've decided to do view social media.

Thanks for responding, sent an email also if you want to respond. DareshMohan (talk) 19:00, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

New page reviewer granted

[edit]

Hi Ab207, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.

This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:

You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! signed, Rosguill talk 17:14, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Looking forward -- Ab207 (talk) 17:22, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary account IP viewer granted

[edit]
The temporary account IP viewer logo, composed of the Wikipedia globe with a user and an IP address

Hello, Ab207. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:

  • You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
  • Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).

It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:

  • When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
  • Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
  • Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).

Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! Toadspike [Talk] 21:15, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
