Discussion at Craig Parker
[edit]
Hi! Since you helped me previously at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/noticeboard regarding this source (which I recently discovered actually originates from this source) I’m inviting you to join the discussion concerning its inclusion as a WP:BLPRS at Talk:Craig Parker#Questionable source regarding personal life
Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Phil Patton
[edit]Updated Thank you for your detailed review of Phil Patton. Citations added, and other content removed, where adequate sourcing as yet un-located. Alternate hook proposed. Thanks again. 842U (talk) 13:38, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- Article approved. Have a good day :) Based5290 :3 (talk) 18:22, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I did upload an image of coffee lids from the Cincinnati exhibit. Would it be possible to ad this to the review and the nomination? Coffeecup sized-735550.jpg 842U (talk) 20:23, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- We'd have to wait for VRT at Commons to confirm that the file is freely licensed, which can take quite a while. If the free license status gets confirmed and the nom hasn't been promoted, leave a reply on the nom with a request to add the image and leave a message on my talk page so I can review it. Based5290 :3 (talk) 20:28, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- It has now been approved by VRT at Commons. I included a note in the nom template. Thanks. 842U (talk) 18:07, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

Sorry, dumb question here: would you have an idea of when the article will actually appear? I'm not able to figure that out. Thanks. 842U (talk) 12:36, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- It depends. Another reviewer will come along, and, assuming we both did our work correctly, the hook will get promoted and moved to one of the prep areas. Then you can just consult the table to see when it will run (there might be another round of review which moves it into the queues). Based5290 :3 (talk) 18:49, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

Nice work on the Esther Swirk Brown photos
[edit]Nice work on those photos. I have no clue how you found the high school photo or discovered the original photo was PD. Your seeming competence with the copyright system is unheard of to me, I mean, when I originally uploaded the fair use image, I somehow broke Wikipedia. Good work with the FBI file photo too! 1brianm7 (talk) 07:02, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks :). For future reference, if you know the high school that someone attended, classmates.com (free as long as you register) has a pretty good chance of having the right yearbook, and you can also directly search for people (in this case, I also got lucky that there was a freely available high resolution copy). For the subsequent photos, I was mostly tripping through newspaper archives for around two or three hours, and it came down to luck that I found the original photo on newspapers.com (and its copyright wasn't renewed, as far as I can tell). As always, double check against the Hirtle chart to make sure it really is PD. To be clear, I also have no idea how I got so motivated to track down all these photos, so I'm as delighted as you are. Hope this helps! :3 Based5290 :3 (talk) 07:13, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
Hasan Piker
[edit]Thanks for helping with the article and talk page discussions. I'm a bit confused about what happened with the article. Did we try to remove the same content at the same time?
As far as the talk page, it's not clear what you've read. Some editors have not been reading what's there, creating a lot of confusion. If there's something I can clarify, let me know. --Hipal (talk) 00:08, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- I was more pressed about the dog stuff popping up again, so I just restored the version by FMSky without checking much more. That's my bad. I think we should probably wait for Sibishops rewrite to get put into the article before we change the intro. Based5290 :3 (talk) 00:17, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. Yes, I'm glad that Sibishops has taken that work on, and has done such a good job with it. --Hipal (talk) 01:46, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
DYK for Jeremy Hambly
[edit]On 4 November 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Jeremy Hambly, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that, after Jeremy Hambly was attacked outside Gen Con, Gen Con banned him? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jeremy Hambly. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Jeremy Hambly), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.
