Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Israel, Texas (Polk county)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Israel, Texas (Polk county) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/entries/israel-tx-polk-county. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]
Hello CSIfan2007! Your additions to Draft:Israel, Texas (Polk county) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's elegibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:21, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Copyrighted text
[edit]
You have been previously advised of Wikipedia's copyright policy. I have deleted Hope, Texas as a copyright violation. It has been closely paraphrased from Hope, Texas: A Historical Overview of the Community. You cannot copy material and then reword it a bit. That is close paraphrasing and still a copyright violation. If you continue to do this, you will be blocked from editing. -- Whpq (talk) 14:35, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- I'll make sure to review and understand the copyright policy since tbh I still sometimes get rly confused between the difference of just pharaphrasing what I read in a source and actually extracting information from it. Ty for the advice and criticism CSIfan2007 (talk) 15:06, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- To makes things very simple, don't copy any text at all. Write everything in your own words. When editors copy text and then try to modify it, that's when they get themselves into problems with close paraphrasing. -- Whpq (talk) 15:40, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

The article Beach, Texas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NPLACE.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. AusLondonder (talk) 12:02, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
Hello, I have noticed that you have been creating a number of articles on unincorporated places recently. Per WP:NPLACE, such places are not presumed notable: "Populated places without legal recognition are considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the GNG." They need significant coverage in reliable secondary sources and per GNG "multiple sources are generally expected". The article for Beach, Texas has only one source that discusses the topic and suggests it was a "sawmill town and stop on the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway." Lots of articles on unincorporated places have been deleted recently for failing to meet WP:GNG. Just giving a heads up. AusLondonder (talk) 03:09, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sebuah Obsesi
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sebuah Obsesi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
