Phillip Oppenheim
[edit]I did provide a source but the source says “I know of a popular and charismatic British politician who has terminal oesophageal cancer and has been given months to live.” In other words, the source doesn’t say who it is. What counts as an acceptable source to cite.73.49.228.251 (talk) 19:19, 13 September 2025 (UTC)
- If it doesn't say who the politician is, it's not appropriate to speculatively add the information to Phillip Oppenheim (and the other articles you added it to). A forum isn't a reliable source even if it did name the person, as anyone can contribute anything without fact-checking. See WP:RS for what constitutes a reliable source for Wikipedia's purposes. Talk:Gebran Bassil - advise
[edit]Hello Cordless Larry, I hope you’re doing well and having a good day. I would like to ask if you could assist me or provide some advice regarding my request for an article about Gebran Bassil. Gebranb (talk) 07:09, 20 September 2025 (UTC)
- You request at Talk:Gebran Bassil#Edit request: rephrasing contentious wording in lead is in the queue, though as it states there, there is currently a large backlog. If you think the issue is serious enough that it needs to be dealt with quicker, there are some other options detailed at WP:BIOSELF. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:58, 20 September 2025 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – October 2025
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (September 2025).

- After a motion, arbitration enforcement page protections no longer need to be logged in the AELOG. A bot now automatically posts protections at WP:AELOG/P. To facilitate this bot, protection summaries must include a link to the relevant CT page (e.g.
[[WP:CT/BLP]]
), and you will receive talk page reminders if you forget to specify the contentious topic but otherwise indicate it is an AE action.
