DataSet-XML moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to DataSet-XML. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 17:28, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sohom Datta. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of King Charles III Charitable Fund. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Sohom Datta. An edit that you recently made seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or another application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. I have reverted your edit. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Sohom (talk) 17:52, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:DataSet-XML

[edit]

Hello, FineCaptain32. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "DataSet-XML".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UpTheOctave! • 8va? 17:28, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:FineCaptain32/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Crab44 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Crab44. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Unblocked

[edit]

After further review and consideration, I have decided to reverse this block. At the time I blocked your account, I did not realize that you were a participant in the edit-a-thon meta:Event:Africa Wiki Challenge 2025/Home. Originally, I blocked this account to prevent sockpuppetry, which refers to the misuse of multiple Wikipedia accounts by a single person to disrupt Wikipedia. However, it appears instead that your account was part of a group of multiple people who were editing as part of the edit-a-thon event. I sincerely apologize for my mistake.

Among the accounts that I had blocked as part of this sockpuppet investigation, I noticed that many of the accounts exhibited the following behaviors. I would like to warn you that the following behaviors may be considered disruptive by the Wikipedia community. (You may not have engaged in some of these behaviors, but some of your fellow edit-a-thon participants did do so, so I wanted to make you aware of them.)

  • Using LLMs to post AI-generated content to Wikipedia without careful human review. We have an essay discussing LLMs here: Wikipedia:Large language models. If you do choose to use AI to assist you in editing Wikipedia, you must be careful to understand the limitations of these tools and carefully review the AI-generated content before publishing it on Wikipedia. You should consider disclosing whether content is AI-generated in the edit summaries of your edits.
  • Changing national varieties of English. The English-language Wikipedia has a diverse community of English-speaking contributors who may have differences in the way that they spell certain words or use grammar. To make things consistent, we have rules for determining which national variety of English to use which can be read here: Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English. When in doubt, I would avoid switching national varieties of English (e.g. travelled vs. traveled or color vs. colour) without first discussing the issue on a talk page.
  • Changing date formats. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers#Dates, months, and years for our guidelines on date formats. Please avoid using ordinals like 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. in dates on Wikipedia. For example, instead of 30th July 2025, use 30 July 2025.
  • Making many edits that could be accomplished by one. When submitting edits to Wikipedia, I recommend only pressing the "save edits" button once the changes are fully ready to be public. I noticed that some of the accounts involved in this case would sometimes submit edits while they were still in the middle of writing sentences or adding citations. This may be disruptive because readers might see the half-written sentences before you fix them, and it may also give the impression that you are trying to artificially inflate your edit count, which is used to grant you permission to edit certain articles.

I hope that this advice is helpful to you. I apologize once again for this block, and I hope that despite this negative experience, you will still consider joining the Wikipedia community and becoming a Wikipedia editor. Mz7 (talk) 06:14, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:52, 12 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
