Your submission at Articles for creation: Pineland waterwillow (October 31)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by WeirdNAnnoyed was:
Species articles are typically titled with the binomial name of the species, Justicia angusta in this case. Also the reference list contains bare URLs, which are discouraged; please use the cite web template. Species are presumed notable so please fix these issues and the article should stand.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Notice

The article The Farmer's Weekly Museum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Newspaper isn't notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Eric Schucht (talk) 16:18, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I deprodded. Discussed as a leading literary journal of the time with involvement from a notable editor and contributors. Seems a weird prod but you're more than welcome to take the subject to a deletion discussion if you'd like.
User:Eric Schucht may I ask what other entries have you prodded? I would like to check on them especially if any were deleted.
Also, for the Cannon Beach paper it says the paper was "owned purchased" by people. I am unable to decipher this phrasing. Take care. FloridaArmy (talk) 17:31, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Melvin Redmond (November 6)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by WeirdNAnnoyed was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This is a borderline case but I think WP:NBIO is not quite met with the sources given. Most are obituaries or primary day-to-day news reporting (or passing mentions, or an interview). Ref. 2 (Sewell and Dwight) is a good source. If one more like that could be found then the article would be in good shape.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Laurent Heynemann. Thanks! Icepinner 13:15, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi User:Icepinner. Thabks for the note. We have entries on four of his films including Birgitt Haas Must Be Killed, so I don't understand your argument that he may not meet the filmmaker criteria you quoted. Why don't you think these films are notable? FloridaArmy (talk) 13:41, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Quoting strand 3 of WP:FILMMAKER, the person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews, or of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series). How is, say Birgitt Haas Must Be Killed for example, "significant" or "well-known" enough to contribute to his notability for a Wikipedia article? Hope this helps. Icepinner 16:03, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
User:Icepinner because it's received very substantial coverage in reliable independent sources as have his other movies and shows. FloridaArmy (talk) 16:34, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I originally interpret a film being "significant" as having a lasting impact on popular culture, or revolutionising a new filming technique, but upon discussing with some other editors, it may meet the criterion since it's possible that "significant" extends to having substantial coverage even as a regular film. Ah well, you learn something new everyday (still learning the ropes of AFC, anyways) :) Icepinner 17:18, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
It's likely that the subject is notable, but the article is unfinished. Please flesh out the details as much as possible and write the article in a narrative form (even if it only ends up as one paragraph), rather than the list format shown here. Also additional sources would be helpful.
