Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Good day! Some editors think that it is fine to use twitter as a primary source for development section and just recently found this [2]. Do you think its worth to be added at the article? He talks about where "Valentine" name come from. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 01:02, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Boneless Pizza!. As per WP:ABOUTSELF, I think this is fine to mention briefly IF better sources don't exist, as long as you attribute who said it and when. For example: "In 2025, Hideki Kamiya stated he took the name Jill from one of his reference books, and the name Valentine was chosen randomly after he heard someone say Valentine's Day.[source]

By the way, there is another source also that can be implemented as well [3]: "Kamiya was a designer for certain environments in the Spencer Estate, though his most permanent contribution to the series’ lore was the naming of some of the characters, including Jill, Chris, Wesker, and the others. “I got the inspiration for their names from various media sources, including pornographic magazines". - @Boneless Pizza!: In this case I think it would be better to use the tweet as it's specifically about Jill. I think if you use this new source as well though you could definitely change 'reference book' in the article to 'pornographic magazine'. I noticed the AI translation of the tweet said 'adult reference book', but I wasn't 100% sure what that meant (also you can't trust AI translation), but you could definitely change it to that if you wanted to with this as a additional supplementary source.
