Question from ColinCorgi (03:52, 6 December 2025)
[edit]Whatsup! Can i rename myself? so its not ColinCorgi anymore --ColinCorgi (talk) 03:52, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @ColinCorgi, yes! Have a look at WP:RENAME. ~Kvng (talk) 14:41, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from WikiNoia on The Secret Life of... (TV series) (10:07, 10 December 2025)
[edit]What needs priority If there is an Infobox with years 2023 and 2016? How come it's not yet removed? --WikiNoia (talk) 10:07, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @WikiNoia, I assume you're talking about the WP:CLEANUPTAGS at the top of the article. I've removed one of them that was stale. It does look like the article could still use better sourcing and the most recent information in the article is 2007 so probably needs an update as well. ~Kvng (talk) 14:49, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
Is it okay to remove nonexistent links on articles? --WikiNoia (talk) 11:14, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi WikiNoia. Do you mean WP:REDLINKS? Yes if you don't think there will ever be an article on the subject. Can you give an example of a link you're tempted to remove? ~Kvng (talk) 14:43, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2003_UCI_Women%27s_Teams_and_riders WikiNoia (talk) 03:25, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- @WikiNoia I don't think it obvious which of those linked subjects would meet Wikipedia notability standards and which do not. Unless you can propose some way of determining this, I would leave the redlinks. In general, if you're going to make a change, you should be able to identify a good reason for doing so. ~Kvng (talk) 15:25, 15 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Jonathan Sims, The Archivist (15:20, 15 December 2025)
[edit]Hi, seem to have found a hole in Wikipedia's coverage. The British Podcast "The Magnus Archives" (TMA) has a very comprehensive article, but not much about anything related to it exists about it on Wikipedia (Other than an article on the main voice actor / director and a short article about another podcast made by them) All searches for the company that made the podcast (Rusty Quill) redirect to TMA, and there is nothing about the CEO of Rusty Quill, who is also the director of the podcast.
I do worry that I am being biased in the depth that I believe that Wikipedia should have for this, as it is one of my favourite pieces of media (as shown by my username - one of the main characters)
Also as a side note, some phrases are hyperlinked to two different pages that are only related through the show (e.g. The Web having "The" linked to arachnophobia and "Web" linked to manipulation). Is this standard practise, as IMO it feels a little clunky.
Sorry for the long question, and thanks. --Jonathan Sims, The Archivist (talk) 15:20, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Jonathan Sims, The Archivist, being a fan doesn't necessarily create a WP:COI for you. We already have a well-developed The Magnus Archives article. You're welcome to create other articles related to this so long as the subject of each article meets our notability criterion. It is common to find uneven coverage on Wikipedia because articles are written by volunteers who write about what interests them. ~Kvng (talk) 15:32, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from \\CodeComment (18:47, 18 December 2025)
[edit]- Note: \\CodeComment's mentor Sirdog is away.
Somebody behind me in a class decided to edit the Ames High School and Gilbert Junior-Senior High School in bad faith and in deliberate ignorance of Wikipedia's editorial standard. However, I'm unclear on the proper process to reverting these changes. --\\CodeComment (talk) 18:47, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- @\\CodeComment, it looks like it's already been taken care of but you go to the page history tab and hit undo on the bad edits. ~Kvng (talk) 23:22, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
I created a page for a book that is verifiable, well cited, self written, notetable and neutral.
This one guy came along and said it was written by ai.
Previously I did use grammerly which isn't exactly ai and I have since revised the page in my own writing.
Yet I am still not able to get approval. can you please help me?
I am happy to revise my work again but their is no specific suggestions or references to issues just the vague claim that I sound like ai. I really don't know how to prove other wise.
I spent a whole afternoon writing this and I don't think this guy ever even read it considering his response.
this is really disheartening. --Leventdev (talk) 02:37, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Leventdev yes I can help. Sorry you've had this experience. We don't get a lot of positive feedback about WP:AFC. The most important thing to achieve with a new article is establish notability. I have added a request for help with that to your draft (Draft:The Presidential System and Its Applicability in Turkey). Let me know if you have any questions about how to respond. ~Kvng (talk) 15:33, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- I have added the wp 3 as you requested. The links include a news article from the largest news paper in turkey.
- Is there anything else I can do? Leventdev (talk) 18:28, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have responded there.
- I have one more standard question to ask you. Do you have a potential WP:COI on this subject? ~Kvng (talk) 19:09, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- No I simply wish to add content relating to the constitutional law and governmental changes in turkey with an emphasis on academic perspective.
- I think its an important topic especially with the challenges to democracy and rule of law in turkey. As well as the fact that wikipedia is censored and at times shutdown in turkey. Due to these reasons I want to make information more widely available. Block of Wikipedia in Turkey, Censorship in Turkey
- Hence also why I am aiming to add everything in en.wikipedia as well as tr.wikipedia.
- ps.
- Thank you for being so helpful. Leventdev (talk) 19:23, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- I have responded to your last question. In the talk section.
- Is it enough for me to just respond to you in the talk section or do I need to notify u on ur talk page as well? Leventdev (talk) 20:04, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- I am notified either place so no need to reply at both. ~Kvng (talk) 16:50, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Jacknsherry (11:46, 25 December 2025)
[edit]Hello! Thank you so much for agreeing to be my mentor. I am a true beginner and will be asking very basic questions. How do I point out the need for a citation in text? Thank you. --Jacknsherry (talk) 11:46, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
- Welcome @Jacknsherry! Just add {{cn}} to the text that needs a citation. Like this.[citation needed] ~Kvng (talk) 16:49, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
- thank you! Happy new year Jacknsherry (talk) 08:54, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from BREAKER Interactive (03:59, 26 December 2025)
[edit]Hello. How do I make my own wiki page for a character I made? --BREAKER Interactive (talk) 03:59, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi BREAKER Interactive. If you have a WP:COI for the subject of your proposed article, you probably shouldn't be doing this but if you insist, will need to use WP:AFC to create the article. ~Kvng (talk) 04:14, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
Hello, there is a Article of Bangladesh Football Federation. How can I improve it more? Can give an review and say which places need those improvement? --RatulH21 (talk) 08:33, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- Nice work RatulH21. I've upped the rating to B-class. Your next move work be to list it for a good article review where you'll receive feedback on necessary improvements. ~Kvng (talk) 15:15, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello again, I did another article on Women's Football in Bangladesh. Can you check on this?
- Another thing, I have nominated the Bangladesh Football Federation for the good article section. I mistakenly reviewed it. I hope that does not do anything to it. Can you also tell how many days it could take? RatulH21 (talk) 10:33, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- Women's football in Bangladesh is already rated C class. That looks about right. Thanks for the contribution! ~Kvng (talk) 17:09, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- That was a C-Class article. Now I have edited it and made it better. I think it should be high B-Class RatulH21 (talk) 17:47, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- Women's football in Bangladesh is already rated C class. That looks about right. Thanks for the contribution! ~Kvng (talk) 17:09, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Desmothernista (00:43, 3 January 2026)
[edit]Hi, I am Rubén Ortiz-Torres and do not know how this page happened but certainly has problems, is missing things, does not have images and wonder why WikiProject Mexico gives it low-importance. I was approached by James Bradley who wants to do a "cleanup" and "revamp" of the page which has been tagged for a "professional fee." He wrote me: "Please note that there is a professional fee for this comprehensive service, which covers the full update and cleanup process." My daughter who just graduated from Berkeley and has edited things in Wikipedia says that this is a scam and illegal. Is it? Is this legal?
Thanks, Rubén Ortiz-Torres --Desmothernista (talk) 00:43, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- I don't know about illegal but it is a scam and you should steer clear. What is the title of the page? ~Kvng (talk) 00:59, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- The page is called: Rubén Ortiz Torres
- Thanks for your response. This guy is emailing constantly and claims to be a wikipedia editor. He sounds reasonable and professional but I knew this is not supposed to work like that. Desmothernista (talk) 01:06, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- If James Bradley is a Wikipeda editor, they should have a username. Did they share that with you? ~Kvng (talk) 04:53, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
