Behave
[edit]Behave now and Stop undoing all my edits and vandalising rother radio page Chipshopcurry (talk) 16:41, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Chipshopcurry you are the one vandalising the Rother Radio page under a new account that has specifically targeted the page since setting your account up yesterday. Mister C 2024 (talk) 16:42, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Not true I’m trying to help Chipshopcurry (talk) 16:46, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- So be a good boy Chipshopcurry (talk) 16:47, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Can you explain why since your account creation in the last 24 hours you have specifically targeted this particular radio station with endless edits? Mister C 2024 (talk) 16:47, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- I have done more in 24 hours than you have done in a year. Please see my log, I have edited countless other articles Chipshopcurry (talk) 16:50, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- I’m choosing not to engage further here. I have reported the matter so that administrators can review the behaviour, including the rapid account creation, repeated edits to one article, and the personal comments made here. I will await their guidance and won’t be responding further. Thanks. Mister C 2024 (talk) 16:59, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Just an fyi, I have made in excess of 10,000 edits on a previous account, never have I come across someone as arrogant as you. Chipshopcurry (talk) 17:01, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

- So I wrote this massive post whilst the other editor was being blocked and others were replying on ANI! I still think some of this is helpful so I've copied it here - you can then delete this entire section of your Talk page once you've had a read :) Hopefully it still makes some sense, but bear in mind I wrote it before the socking was confirmed!
- "You should really deal with the possible-sock aspect separately to the content of the edits, especially if it's not been confirmed. Sometimes socks do make legitimate edits and it's not always in the best interests of the article to revert them just because of the author. 95% of the time it is junk, but you should use your judgement in the first instance as socks also make legitimate edits in preparation for whatever mess they're about to create later.
- In this case, you really should have stopped before it became an edit war, gone to the article Talk page and discussed the matter - see WP:BRD. Disputes need to be nipped in the bud because internet appointments can easily get out of hand! Once the merits of the effort have been settled, you could then log an SPI whilst you're waiting for a response (if you felt it was necessary). Instead, you've been calling it vandalism when it appears - on the surface at least - to be a content dispute. Vandalism needs to be intentional disruption of Wikipedia.
- Re. What to do now: I'd recommend looking at the merits of their argument & perhaps ask for input on the article Talk page if you disagree. You can also use WP:DRN if editors can't come to a compromise. Since you've got a COI, edits to this article would only be on the Talk page anyway but this might help with unrelated subjects.
- If you need support, there's always the WP:Teahouse or you can pop a message onto the Talk page of an admin or experienced user who you think might be able to help." Blue Sonnet (talk) 19:08, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your input, advice and helpful direction in how to deal with anything further. It's all a learning curve so appreciate that you have taken the time to write this and send it to me. Thank you. Mister C 2024 (talk) 19:13, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- No problem! BTW I've reached out to an admin to see if they can delete that edit from the history that you mentioned. Blue Sonnet (talk) 19:56, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Blue-Sonnet I know I keep saying this, but thank you for helping me resolve this. Mister C 2024 (talk) 20:01, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- No problem at all, I enjoy helping out like this 🙂 BTW It's gone from the history now too. Blue Sonnet (talk) 20:06, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- That's great to hear, I'd like to express my gratitude (I didn't want to say 'Thank you' again!) to you and the admin team for removing it :-) Mister C 2024 (talk) 20:15, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]
Hello, Mister C 2024. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Rother Radio, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Schazjmd (talk) 18:36, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
