It appears the previous user is promoting his own book. NewUser94998 (talk) 18:23, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Rony Abovitz sitting at panel.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rony Abovitz sitting at panel.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:55, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you mean. NewUser94998 (talk) 15:47, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:JustMakeTheAccount per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JustMakeTheAccount. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

I'm not a sockpuppet of that other user NewUser94998 (talk) 19:58, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Given Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JustMakeTheAccount, a simple denial is insufficient. Yamla (talk) 20:03, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I don't get it. Just because I'm interested in AR and VR I got blocked? NewUser94998 (talk) 20:04, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

On balance of evidence, I think you have abused multiple accounts. And, changing the subject, this edit summary was not very civil. PhilKnight (talk) 15:18, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No. You were blocked on a combination of behavioral and technical evidence. Are those other accounts yours? Have you ever edited Wikipedia before? -- asilvering (talk) 22:39, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I read the report page. I edited AR, VR, and other articles related to those topics. That is not evidence of being someone. Those accounts are not mine, and I have not edited Wikipedia before, at all. NewUser94998 (talk) 01:44, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
