Topic ban violation

[edit]

Hi. Your two edits at Talk:Board of Peace - here and here is topic ban violations. Please self revert. Ruzhiner (talk) 15:23, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Ruzhiner: The first asks an editor whether he has an RS for the opinion that "President Donald Trump, the beloved leader of the American people, is the most reliable source in the world" so that's not a vio, I amended the second to avoid mention of Gaza in the quote. Selfstudier (talk) 15:40, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Currently, the sole role of this organization is to oversee the execution of the Gaza peace plan, that is meant to end the hostilities between Israel and Hamas and disarm Hamas from its weapons. At the moment, everything else is a side point. Almost the entire article is about Israel, Gaza, or Hamas, and I believe that any edit to the article or talk page is included in "broadly construed".
Furthermore, the second comment about "a transitional administration" - whether or not it mentions Gaza explicitly - is about a transitional administration for Gaza, is directly related to the conflict. Please self revert. Ruzhiner (talk) 06:36, 23 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Ruzhiner: My talk page edits are nothing to do with Gaza, just AP, you are barking up the wrong tree here.Selfstudier (talk) 13:33, 23 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
If this does not relate to Gaza, can you pleace explain what "transitional administration" you are referring to in your talk page comment? Ruzhiner (talk) 14:57, 24 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Ruzhiner: That's not my comment as such, merely a quote to illustrate the "international legal personality" feature according to a UN document, which was what the edit request I was responding to was about, nothing more. It seems clear that my comment has nothing whatever to do with Gaza, not even indirectly and is simply about the legal status of the BoP. There has been a lot of coverage recently about non Gaza aspects of the BoP and potential uses that Trump might make of the entity, I don't see that as having anything to do with Gaza either, just AP again. Tagging @Guerillero. As someone recently involved in discussions related to the limits/definition of the ARBPIA5 topic bans, is editing this talk page - and particularly an edit about a "transitional administration" referring to the administration of Gaza - a violation or not? To enforce an arbitration decision, and for violating your topic ban here, you have been blocked temporarily from editing Wikipedia. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.

Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes"). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

The removal of the quote about Gaza does not change the fact that you clearly know, and as you quoted, the Board of Peace exists in the current form for a singular peacekeeping mission: the Gaza Strip. I blocked you for a week. -- Guerillero Parlez Moi 07:34, 25 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
