Bludgeoning?
[edit]Hey, as seen here Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard: Difference between revisions - Wikipedia you removed a reply because you were worried about WP:BLUDGEONING. However, you only had a single other reply, and I'm pretty sure that the two answers covered different topics -- one was your main reasoning, the other was a reply. In this case, I'm pretty sure that it's not bludgeoning -- which occurs if you repeat the same argument multiple times in different chats. Can I ask what worried you? If you want, I can ask for you whether it's okay, but I think that you probably wouldn't get in trouble from that. Thanks either way for trying to make sure you follow the rules. - I think you're right, but I think it is best to keep my thoughts limited to one part of the discussion at this time. The Knowledge Pirate (talk) 04:31, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- I'm genuinely curious what your reasoning is, if you don't mind me asking. Is it that both of these basically say the same thing? Or that you're worried it'll move the conversation to two different places? Or something else entirely? Wikieditor662 (talk) 04:51, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- I'm just worried about my conduct eventually becoming out of control. I had that problem in the past under two separate accounts that I eventually abandoned. The Knowledge Pirate (talk) 05:11, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- Is it that you're worried that you won't be able to stop yourself if you do it, or that you'll be unfairly judged as bludgeoning? Wikieditor662 (talk) 05:17, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- A combination of both. The Knowledge Pirate (talk) 05:24, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry to hear that! If you want, I'm planning on creating a group (and eventually a Wikiproject) designed to ensuring fairness on Wikipedia among other things; in the future if you're worried about something you could come by and either get advice or have us review articles/discussions. Two others have already agreed to participate, and you can find more about it on one of their discussion boards. Would you like to join? Wikieditor662 (talk) 05:40, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
