Chris Pinset moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Chris Pinset, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello Wikirapguru. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Wikirapguru. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wikirapguru|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PICKLEDICAE🥒 18:26, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have any financial stake in promoting material I add to Wikipedia. I am a music journalist, living in New York. I just have a passion for hip-hop music and direct access to artists and producers I write about, that`s all. Wikirapguru (talk) 19:41, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Raptology moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Raptology. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:33, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thank you. I will do my best to improve the page. Wikirapguru (talk) 23:58, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name does not follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 21:27, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

MrOllie, if you know anybody in the music industry, ask them, what is correct title - "music pool" or a "dj record pool". They will tell you it`s supposed to be "dj record pool". Wikirapguru (talk) 21:36, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If what you are saying is correct, you should have no problem getting the support of others by following the proper process for move discussions. MrOllie (talk) 21:38, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I know I am correct, but why are you making me to waste the time, start discussions, "just because"? Clearly you don`t like rap/hip-hop, your removals of my edits are biased. I spent hours doing my research, checking the facts, adding notable pools to the page (notable because they have their own Wikipedia pages), etc, why are you interfering with honest, good-faith journalism? Wikirapguru (talk) 21:43, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Making personal attacks on me will not help you get the page moved. Only following the proper process and securing consensus agreement will. MrOllie (talk) 21:45, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
How am I making personal attacks on you? It`s more like you are attacking real journalism just because you don`t like the subject. I started Talk Page discussion, but instead of participating there, you just delete my edits...Not fair. Wikirapguru (talk) 21:49, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a place to conduct 'journalism'. Calling others 'biased' is indeed a personal attack. I absolutely did participate on the talk page discussion. You should be aware of that, since you replied to my comment. MrOllie (talk) 21:54, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I used the word "journalism" in the context that I understand the ethics of it. My research is not original, I just gathered most prominent and verifiable facts and added them to the page. I feel you have a biased approach because you keep deleting content backed up with it`s own Wikipedia pages, also, rather then read the article, you ask to start a discussion. The article clearly states that this kind of music distribution is meant for DJs, not regular people, so the term "music pool" is laughable. Do you mean a "swimming pool with music in it playing"? No, it`s a "DJ Record Pool". Wikirapguru (talk) 22:04, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Again, you must secure agreement from others to proceed. Edit warring and calling other people 'biased' will not make that happen. MrOllie (talk) 22:08, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 21:47, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. MrOllie (talk) 22:33, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I did not remove a single speedy deletion notice, what are you talking about, MrOllie? Wikirapguru (talk) 22:43, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You absolutely did, as anyone can verify by checking the page history. - MrOllie (talk) 22:45, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was a glitch, I promise. My mouse fell off the laptop pad and clicked the button. It was not intentional. Sorry if it came across that way, my bad. Wikirapguru (talk) 22:52, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
