I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi Xpander1. Thank you for your work on David Sherman (psychologist). Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating a page for this researchers, who reaches WP:NACADEMIC through the coherent body of well-cited work. It is a single-source stub, so there is much more to build here: finding other reliable sources discussing his work and biographical details for example. Professional listing by societies can help; or published reviews covering the scope of his output. It would also be helpful to link this page from others.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Klbrain (talk) 09:37, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Klbrain, I added a couple of more sources, the most important of them being the Google Scholar page. You can take another look. Xpander (talk) 09:56, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need to separately include the Google Scholar page because it's already present in the 'Authority Control' databases - have a look at the bottom of the page. It's there along with Scopus and ORCID. Regarding additional sources, they're fine, but also rather 'connected' to Sherman. What about the view of his critics? If he doesn't have critics, is actually just following the crowd ;) Klbrain (talk) 10:09, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Didn't know GS is included in auth control. Regarding the sources you're right, psychology isn't my cup of tea. I actually created the page as to disambiguate David Sherman in search results. Therefore not sure how those critiques would be found. @Klbrain Xpander (talk) 12:26, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Agricultural Palace

[edit]

Hello Xpander1,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Agricultural Palace for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Agricultural Palace to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Your submission at Articles for creation: Sina Bathaie (September 28)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bearcat was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
(1) WholeNote is not a GNG-making source.
(2) CBC Music's "Top 100 Canadian songs of the year" listicle is not "Canada's national chart" for the purposes of NMUSIC's charting criterion -- we'd need to see placements in the Soundscan charts in Billboard (Canadian Hot 100, etc.), while single-network charts don't count (especially when they're just polls of the network's own staff about music they liked, and not based on sales criteria).
(3) A quote from a radio personality, in a non-notable blog rather than on the air in his radio show, is not evidence of notability.
(4) Niagara This Week is a community hyperlocal, not a major media outlet of record. So it would be fine for verification of facts, but does not represent enough coverage to get him over GNG all by itself if it's the only source in the article that isn't completely unusable.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Behrooz Mahmoodi-Bakhtiari, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page BA. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:58, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon

The page V2Ray has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. [edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to V2Ray, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. The article currently only has one source that discusses the subject specifically and in depth. Please do not remove the maintenance template without at least adding sources or getting consensus on the talk page. Thanks.Rutebega (talk) 21:11, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Rutebega Tbh, I find the notability templates useless. One either finds more sources and adds them to the article or does not and therefore nominates the article for an AfD. The template is something in-between and usually remains there for months, even years in some cases which has no function other than cluttering the article. As for the article in question I highly recommend taking it to AfD if you see an issue with notability. Xpander (talk) 21:37, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ebrahim Kraimi (physcist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Relevance challenged

[edit]

Greetings. How is this link relevant to the article on David G. Carlson? The subject's name is not even mentioned anywhere. -The Gnome (talk) 19:29, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @The Gnome. I know your editing is in WP:Good faith. But you have to be more thorough when checking and thereby deleting sources from an article. Even though the previous page number citations were ''not'' incorrect, I updated them to be more accurate. Best. Xpander (talk) 19:40, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
