Varendra University (VU) is a private university in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It obtained approval from the Ministry of Education on March 14, 2012, and from the University Grants Commission (UGC) on March 20, 2012, under the Private University Act of 1992 and was the first UGC approved private university in Rajshahi.[6] The founder is Hafizur Rahman Khan, Chairman VU Trust.

[edit]The permanent campus of Varendra University is situated at Chandrima, Paba, Rajshahi.
Facilities
[edit]Air-conditioned classrooms with multimedia, broadband and Wi-Fi, UGC Digital Library, informative website, Education ERP, CCTV security system, generators, and water filters.
Library
[edit]Varendra University now has one central library located at the main campus, replacing the previous five. This modern, expanded facility holds around 7,000 books and provides students with the resources needed to complete assignments and coursework effectively.
