The term 'gateware' is not in common usage in industry (or academia). There appears to be only a handful of people at most trying to push it. A Google search for gateware mostly turns up proprietary products, and almost no use of the term in a general sense as claimed by this article. Brouhaha 20:40, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
