Please review the AWB guide before making a request. Users are rarely approved unless they have either 250 non-automated mainspace edits or 500 total mainspace edits. You can check your non-automated contributions on XTools. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to request access. For bots, you must first have a bot approval request approved, or in trial; link to your BRFA in the request.
This page is for requesting AWB Access for English Wikipedia only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.
If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage. If you will make many or fast automated edits using AWB, you may wish to use a separate (or bot) account for that purpose; first create the account, give it a userpage declaring it to be your alternate account, then make the request using your main account.
Please note that administrators may not ping you in replies, so please check on your request if you have not heard anything.
Especially for new users, it is helpful (although not strictly required) to explain what specific task you intend to use AWB to do in your request.

Hello, I would like to use the editor mainly to have access to backreferences for editing using regular expressions. My actual use case would be to make a 300-line table sortable by last name. I'm back again! I previously requested this to help with WP:POSTMOVE for links to Guna language (then withdrew that request), but since then I've realised there are a few areas I could use this tool in, not least for updating non-linked uses of "Kuna" and "Cuna" for Guna language and Guna people (of which there seem to be quite a lot). I might also use it for linking/redlinking new articles (for instance, some of the drafts I'm currently working on), and also to help out with updating some of the 90,000+ articles transcluding (the now-deprecated) Template:EngvarB to other English-variety templates.
