Importance scale

Label Criteria Examples
Top Core, highly notable topics about Invention and invention-related topics. This may also include invention topics that have or had an established global presence with wide distribution. Invention
High Topics that are very notable within the field of Invention, and well-known outside of it, and can be reasonably expected to be included in any print encyclopedia. This may also include invention topics that have or had widespread distribution on multiple continents.
Mid Topics that are reasonably notable without necessarily being famous or very notable outside of the field. This may also include invention topics that have or had distribution on a national level or distribution in multiple countries.
Low Topics of mostly specialized interest or those that are only included for complete coverage or as examples of a higher-level topic; peripheral or trivial invention-related topics. Also encompasses topics about generally lesser-known invention topics, and may include those that have or had local, regional or statewide distribution.
NA Subject importance is not applicable. Generally applies to non-article pages such as redirects, categories, templates, etc. Category:Inventions
