RfC: Licensing for images from the Auckland Libraries Heritage Collections

[edit]

Hi all, I'm currently looking through images on Commons sourced from the Auckland Libraries Heritage Collections (i.e. [1] ). They're mostly either CC-BY or public domain, but their help page says the following:

All of the content provided by Auckland Libraries’ Kura Heritage Collections Online is available for personal use. For commercial use and information about copyright, please use the form on the ‘Ordering’ page. A fee per image applies for commercial use.

Can these images be hosted on Commons? applecuckoo 08:21, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Building a Wikidata query library for GLAMs

[edit]
  • Is anyone interested in developing a Wikidata query library for cultural heritage institutions (GLAMs, etc.)? This could be a great topic for a GLAM hackathon or hackathon series.
    • What would it take for the community to come together to build a GLAM query library with a public interface component - to provide tools to make Wikidata's capabilities, coverage, and gaps more useable?
