WikiProject Iraq, the Developing Countries WikiContest will be returning for a second year, and sign-ups are now open! The contest will run from 1 July to 30 September, and the objective remains the same: improve as many articles relating to developing countries as you can to help fight systemic bias on Wikipedia.

In other news, we have a new face on the coordinator team this year: last year's sixth-place finisher, Arconning (talk · contribs)! The coordinators would like to extend a sincere thanks to Ixtal (talk · contribs), who is leaving the team, without whom the contest would not exist. After feedback from contestants last year, the scoring rules are undergoing some modifications; the new rules and a summary of the changes made will be posted to the contest talk page shortly.

The article Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Stadium has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced for almost 19 years. It doesn't even exist any more, having been demolished. Sources that might have existed before are disappearing from linkrot.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Tagged as Unreferenced for 10 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Run of the mill, small stadium mostly used by amateur teams.

Hello, I would like to request more people from this wikiproject to voice their opinions on a discussion. I would prefer for "Sunni Region" to be the only and sole name in usage for the article, but someone else has stated that both the names "Sunni Region" and "West Iraq" should be used together.
