Should the Steam Frame be listed as a successor here?

[edit]

Earlier today, Valve announced the Steam Frame, which this article now lists as a successor to the Valve Index. But... is it?

Valve doesn't seem to think so; in interviews, they've explicitly painted the Steam Frame as an entirely separate lineage from the Valve Index.

That being said, it is produced by the same company and serves a very similar purpose. Is that truly enough to classify a product as a "successor?" Should the company's official stance be taken into account? CocoTheMii (talk) 00:24, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Valve discontinued the Index in favor of the Steam Frame. In my opinion, that's enough to consider it a successor. Saucy[talkcontribs] 00:47, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
