1998 coat of arms

[edit]

This edit caught my eye. I've noted a lot of edits similar yo this changing flags in Philippines articles across a number of articles. I don't want to get drawn into this but, in this specific case, what about Chapter IV of RA8491 and Executive Order No. 310 s/2004? I was just reverting an edit by an anonymous user due to his dubious edits made in Philippine related articles, considering that the IP was warned in its talk page. If you think I do have made a mistake, feel free to revert my edits as long as you state a valid reason in the edit summary. Best regards :) AsianStuff03 (talk) 04:37, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Wtmitchell Replying once more, I also would like to add that the executive order and RA were made LATER than the subject of the article (i.e. History of the Philippines from 1965-1985). In my view, It's more preferable to use the flag and coat of arms during that time period. AsianStuff03 (talk) 05:01, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Got it; I agree. This is just something I saw in passing and wondered about. Clearly, I confused the dates and you have straightened me out. Thanks and cheers. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 21:49, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
