Hi all — I’d appreciate some help reviewing the article Joseph Hernandez (entrepreneur), which is currently up for deletion discussion here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joseph Hernandez (entrepreneur).

I’ve worked on improving the sourcing and structure, and I’d really value a neutral set of eyes to see if it now meets the usual standards for biographies. There has been discussion about whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor's article should include a hatnote, templated or freetext, pointing out that his surname is the double-barrelled "Mountbatten Windsor". There exists a template {{British barrelled name}}, which has been added and removed, and I've since improved that template so that it no longer uses the strange terminology "a barrelled name" but now says "a double-barrelled name".

I know there are a lot of similar hatnotes for different forms of names, seen at Category:Hatnote templates for names, but I can't find any mention of their use in MOS:BIO or elsewhere. WP:HATFAM links to that category, but gives no rules about when to include or not include these hatnotes. It also mentions {{Family name footnote}}, which describes itself as a "a newer, lower-emphasis method of name explanation introduced in 2020", but template documentation is not part of the MOS as far as I know.

So is there any guidance as to whether an article should have a hatnote, a footnote, or neither, to inform discussions at Talk:Andrew Mountbatten Windsor#Hatnote about double-barrelled name? and perhaps also consideration of the template {{British barrelled name}}?
