Temporary Full Protection: There is an editor using sockpuppets to make edits WITHOUT a proper consensus. The edit removed cited content without discussing it on the talk page first, starting what is basically a mass edit war. The editor who last made a revert said "Stop reverting my edit." The same edit that was made by multiple registered and temp accounts. They are very clearly the same person. This isn't SPI though, so I will state what should have been said a while ago. We need this page to be fully protected temporarily to stop this mass edit war once and for all. NotJamestack (✉️|📝) 01:40, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- From what I can see this is a content dispute over material that never had a talk page consensus, so NotJamestack is edit warring against WP:ONUS. He is also misusing this protection request as a way to win said dispute which is against the policy. Ryuudou (talk) 01:57, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level
[edit]Before posting a request for unprotection, please discuss it with the protecting administrator first. You can create a request below only if you receive no response from them.
To find out which administrator protected the page, go to the page's edit history and click on the "View logs for this page" link (located underneath the page's title). The protecting administrator is listed in the protection log entry, next to the words "protected", "changed protection level", or "configured pending changes". If there are a large number of log entries on the page, use the drop-down menu near the top of the page and select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" to filter the logs accordingly.
DO NOT request a reduction in protection if...
- ...you are being prevented from editing the page. A desire to change content is not a valid reason for unprotection. Instead:
- If you can edit the article's talk page, use the WP:Edit Request Wizard to propose a change on the article's talk page. Include an explanation of the exact content that you want to change, and what the content will be afterward.
- If the article's talk page is protected, you may propose a change at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection/Edit.
- ...your reasoning for reducing protection is that the article has not been vandalized. That simply means the protection is working as intended.
- ...your reasoning for reducing protection is basically "a long time has passed" without supporting details.
- ...you haven't contacted the protecting administrator.
You may request a protection reduction below if...
- ...you want to change the protection level of a template or module from full protection to template protection. You may add the request to this page without having to discuss it with the protecting administrator first.
- ...you need to remove creation protection from a location where no page exists (redlinked pages) after a draft version of the intended article is prepared beforehand and ready to be published.
- ...you are proposing a trial reduction in protection for a page that has been protected for several years, provided the proposal is supported by evidence such as talk page activity, page views, page traffic, number of watchers, frequency of edit requests, and prior history of vandalism.
- ...the protecting administrator is inactive or has not responded to you in several days.
If you cannot locate your request, make sure to check the request archives to see if it's been moved there. Only requests that have been recently answered will still be listed here.
Reason: The article has been protected since 2020, but the vandal seems to have already gone. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 03:08, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
Not unprotected See above. Daniel Case (talk) 04:11, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
Current requests for edits to a protected page
[edit]Please add an edit request to the talk page of the protected page before adding an edit request here
Requests for specific edits should be made on the talk page of the protected article. You can create an edit request below only if the talk page is also protected, preventing you from adding a request there.
- You may add the appropriate template (
{{Edit protected}},{{Edit template-protected}},{{Edit extended-protected}}, or{{Edit semi-protected}}) to the article's talk page if you would like to request an edit be made. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - For edit requests being made due to the editor having a conflict of interest with the article subject (see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}template should be used instead of the others listed above. - Requests to move pages that are currently move-protected should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not on this page.
- This page is not for holding discussions regarding content. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit that you wish to be performed.
Otherwise, this is the correct place to use in order to add an edit request if you are unable to add one to the article's talk page. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to properly add a request.

New page reviewer[edit]
Given the articles I have created/contributed to on Wikipedia, I would like to have access to review new articles, and believe I could contribute to expanding the new articles, finding citations, fixing tone, etc. KyleSirTalksAlot (talk) 04:44, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
I would like New Page Reviewer rights to help review pages and redirects and reduce the backlog. I am familiar with Wikipedia policies. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 04:57, 15 November 2025 (UTC)
I have been an active contributor to Wikipedia for the past years, during which I have created and edited serval articles in line with Wikipedia’s content policies and guidelines. I've been an AfC reviewer since May and have enjoyed the work. I'd like to help with new page reviewing as well. In the last year or so, I've been more interested in reviewing and editing and have participated in many AfD discussions and done various cleanup tasks in addition to the AfC reviewing. I'm committed to using the tools responsibly, Thank you for considering my request. Destinyokhiria 💬 22:57, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
I’ve already created a few articles and I often check new pages for sourcing, notability, and overall quality. I also help out in AfD discussions when I can, mostly to look at whether topics meet notability and if the sources are solid. I enjoy helping new editors fix their pages and guiding them on what needs improvement. Since I’m already active in this area, I’d like to take a more direct role in keeping the new pages feed clean and helping page creators understand the basics. Becoming a reviewer would let me contribute more effectively. Thanks for considering my request! Acrom12 (talk) 11:57, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
Hello to the reviewer! I've noticed the large backlog and would like to help make some progress with patrolling pages, mainly redirects. I have some previous experience in the article for creation space, creating my own articles, and creating my own redirects. I try to help new incoming editors, including mentoring my current partner and teaching them how to use the features of Wikipedia. I'm capable of catching content that probably shouldn't belong on Wikipedia, but also helping new users expand draft articles. I participate in AfD, though my suggestions are often rejected; I consider this a skill that I am still learning. It's worth noting that I have never misused speedy deletion or other non-discussion deletion methods; my usage of these has been successful when I have applied them. Even still, my knowledge of AfC and redirects provides me with a good basis to use this right. Thank you, and please ask any questions you may have. aaronneallucas (talk) 05:12, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
Hello. I would like to request the New Page Reviewer right. I have experience creating and improving articles, working with reliable sources, and applying core content policies such as WP:N, WP:V, and WP:NPOV. I have also been involved in discussions about pages for deletion, which has strengthened my understanding of notability and content standards. I would like to help reduce the backlog by reviewing new pages more effectively with the proper tools. I am familiar with COI issues and notability guidelines across multiple topic areas, and I’m happy to start with a trial if needed. Thank you for your consideration. Hello. I would like to request New Page Reviewer right. I have been editing Wikipedia for a long time and have gained experience in creating, improving, and maintaining articles across different topics. Over time, I have developed a solid understanding of core Wikipedia policies, including notability (WP:N), verifiability (WP:V), and the use of reliable sources (WP:RS). I would like to help reduce the New Pages Patrol backlog by reviewing new articles carefully, identifying issues early, and supporting new editors with constructive feedback where needed. I believe I can make a positive contribution to the NPR team. Thank you for your time! S Ahmad Fulani 15:49, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
Hey! I got my trial NPR rights a month ago and really enjoyed my time so far. I am still learning the ropes, and the start wasn't easy, but I hope that I'm slowly getting there. Unfortunately, I've been quite busy due to a few real-life matters that needed my full attention and have therefore not been able to do too extensive reviewing, but I'd like to help where I can, and I've really enjoyed it during the few times when I was able to look into some articles. Thank you for considering. Squawk7700 (talk) 00:32, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

Page mover[edit]
Hi there! I’m requesting page mover rights because, while patrolling new pages, I sometimes come across pages that need to be draftified and when I do so, unnecessary redirects are left behind. I’ve also encountered cases where a new page has a typo in its title and when I move it to the correct name, I have to leave a redirect behind. I have occasionally contributed to requested moves, though not very frequently. Thanks, ScrabbleTiles (talk) 08:10, 12 November 2025 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer[edit]
Hello all. I’d like to be a pending changes reviewer to help keep articles accurate and reliable. I’m interested in taking on more responsibility and expanding my experience and role on Wikipedia. Thank you! Erin1973 (talk) 17:58, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
I would like to become a pending changes reviewer because I think I could help quite a lot in the process of reviewing pending revision changes. I am notably experienced (450+ edits in mainspace, 1200 edits total) and do not have any COI with any article. I also think I should become a pending changes reviewer because I would really like to contribute to the community in more ways, as I am very much involved in the fight against vandalism by my efforts as a recent changes patroller. I am familiar with the policies of Wikipedia and have not had any edit wars or the sort (excluding warnings) with anyone in a considerably long time. I also do not have any biases to any pages, only adding information by collecting references from other sources. Thank you! Theeverywhereperson (talk here) 09:04, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
Hello! I have done some anti-vandalism work, but feel like I could take on some more responsibility. Would it be possible to get Pending Changes Reviewing permission? Thank you in advance, for your answer! Legendbird (talk) 13:05, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights Nikunj12387 (talk) 04:13, 21 November 2025 (UTC) Reasons: I am active in Wikipedia since 2019, with 3,600 edits in 1,300 pages, created 162 articles. My work focus on improving quality, formatting, adding references, and maintaining neutrality. I have controlled changes. I would like to support the pending changes system by reviewing good-faith edits and helping maintain accuracy on semi-protected pages. |

Rollback[edit]
Reason for requesting rollback rights I have been recent-changes patroller for a long time on and off, also am a proud twinkle user. I kind of did not realise I didn't have this right, gaining the sacred right would make my counter-vandalism work much easier. Thanks for reading this :) Kajjul (talk) 16:19, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
I'm mostly a WP:GNOME, am active on WP:AIC and spend a fair amount of time finding and reverting various WP:VANDALisms, mostly using Twinkle but I would like to try using Huggle (which requires rollback). I generally use the standard warning templates to notify editors of my reverts, but sometimes I leave messages with more detailed explanations or asking them to WP:LLMDISCLOSE. My request for PCR permissions includes a bit more on what I'd been doing on Wikipedia. --Gurkubondinn (talk) 12:10, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
I’ve been patrolling recent changes consistently and have handled a substantial amount of vandalism. I also pending changes reviewing rights. Gaining rollback rights would allow me to respond more quickly and effectively, especially during spikes in vandalism, and would support the work I’m already doing. Shubhsamant09 (talk) 00:55, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
I've been handling vandalism for quite a while now, I have a chunk more than 1000 edit's the majority of which are dealing in vandalisum(the rest of witch are other simmalar activitys). I mainly use Ultraviolet and ocasionally twinkle but would like to try to use the tools that require rollback. Pyrrhic victor (talk) 15:14, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
I am requesting rollback after willingly giving up Twinkle, and more recently being suggested I request rollback. I believe Rollback would be beneficial to my patrolling of recent edits. Babysharkb☩ss2 I am Thou, Thou art I 14:40, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
Useful for doing RC patrol; usually Twinkle is sufficient but sometimes would be easier to just use rollback. PCHS Pirate Alumnus (talk) 21:58, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
I have been patrolling recent changes for a while. I currently use Ultraviolet when patrolling recent changes, but would like to try AntiVandal to expand my toolbox, which requires rollback. I use the standard warning templates with Ultraviolet, although I do have a set of "uw-0" style messages that I use occasionally. mdm.bla 03:21, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
I have been RC patrolling for over two months now. Clicking individual diff links to revert edits is very inefficient and unnecessary, and I believe having rollback could fix this. I've made over 200 edits to mainspace and have no history of edit warring. Seanwk :) (Talk | Contribs) 02:42, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
I often use the twinkle or redwarn rollback tool to revert vandalism or sock edits, however sometimes it does not load for me. I'm requesting access to the rollback tool as it would make things much easier. I'm familiar with when to use rollback and would be confident with this tool. Thank you. Template editor[edit]
I have been stepping up my template editing in recent months, and believe that I meet the requirements. I likely haven't made 5 significant edits to template-protected modules, but I think it's more than 0. I'll leave that up to the reviewer, though. I have contributed a number of simple templates that have become relatively standard-use in a short period of time, including {{Game-won}} and related templates, as well as {{Hockey season stats entry}} and related templates. Temporary account IP viewer[edit]
I'm active in counter-vandalism and anti-spam, and I am increasingly coming across more complex cases involving temporary accounts. This permission will help me better resolve situations like these. I have 6 months tenure and over 300 edits, and understand the importance of protecting privacy per the WMF policy. Thanks, UpTheOctave! • 8va? 11:18, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
As a Balkans-focused editor, I have a long record of reporting socking (both at SPI and by directly contacting relevant admins). The ability to compare IP ranges and geolocations has been central to my work on that front. I fully understand the relevant privacy policies and practices. Ktrimi991 (talk) 12:49, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
I can't say I'd use the privilege frequently, but at times I have found IP information helpful when investigating vandalism and puppetry. I promise to use this power only for good, never for evil. EEng 02:17, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
I have participated in many SPIs over the years, and have a history of working to prevent long-term abuse on controversial articles. While I expect I will only use this right occasionally, I would appreciate being permitted to have it in my toolbox for such occasions. I have read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions attached to this right. Yours, &c. RGloucester — ☎ 00:32, 23 November 2025 (UTC) |
